WHY GOATS?

A VIABLE RANCHING OPPORTUNITY

Goats are raised for meat, dairy, fiber or recreation (pack goats). Goat meat is the most widely consumed protein in the world. Meat goat production is the fastest growing segment of the U.S. livestock industry. The U.S is the largest importer of goats. Australia exports the most. Goat production is well suited to small acreages, beginning producers, or diversification with other livestock operations. Goats are compatible to raise with cattle and sheep with the biggest expense being fencing.
